The Serenity Prayer
For peace with what cannot be changed and courage for what can, with a second short prayer for a contented heart, read with 1 Timothy 6:6–11.
O Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
For a contented heart
Lord, help me not to set my heart on things that pass away. Make me content with what I have, and give You thanks each day.
Read 1 Timothy 6:6–11.
“Contentment comes not from great wealth but from few wants.”
