Outpouring of the Virtues, Gifts, Fruits and Charisms of the Holy Spirit

Most Holy Spirit, God's love and gift to us, we adore You. Lead and unite us to Jesus who is the revelation of the Father, for us to love and serve the Father fully through His Body, the Church.

Fill us with Your virtues, gifts and fruits that we might witness to His peace and love in the world. Bestow manifold graces, empower us with charisms to live God's life to the full, that we may minister to others and build a truly Christian social order, a community of disciples pleasing to God.

Give us wisdom to see Christ crucified and risen in the tiresome routine, conflicting situation and trials of daily life; knowledge to understand why this disturbance and to know God's gentle way of delivering, healing and reconciling.

Grant us the gifts of faith, healing and miracles that we may bring others to full health of body, soul and spirit, disposing them to God's life to the full.

Help us to discern whether certain movements are from the evil one leading to evil, from man's proud and selfish nature bringing disorder, or from God or His goodness in man giving Him glory.

Open our hearts to receive the gift of tongues and their interpretation, to perfect our praise of God and know the good pleasure of His will in our personal and social life. Inspire us with prophecy to speak for You with fortitude and temperance, to declare Your values with justice and prudence, that our life may cry out the Gospel and give direction to the world.

Let our faith bear witness, by its radical surrender, our hope by its boundless trust, our love by its total self giving to yield fully to the Spirit with all its fruits, and to glorify God in our life and activity.

May Mary, the Mother of the Church, prepare us for these gifts, as she did for the Christian community at Pentecost. May she intercede with Jesus for us. Amen.
