Our history

A story of faith

How this house began, and the people and moments that helped it grow.

The Community in Iligan City began on 8 October 2006 and keeps that day as its anniversary each year.

For most of its life it gathered in the city’s parishes — San Lorenzo Ruiz, St. Michael’s Cathedral and Corpus Christi among them. In November 2025 it celebrated its first Sunday Mass at a centre of its own, at Luinab Bahayan.

It holds healing Masses and Basic and Growth Healing Seminars, keeps the Marian devotions, and carries goods out to families in the hinterland barangay of Rogongon.

Advent recollection

Sunday, November 29, 2026 · 8:00 AM

MLCC Iligan centre, Purok 7, Bahayan, Luinab, Iligan City

A quiet day to prepare for Christmas with Scripture, adoration and confession.

The Community in Iligan City was established, with Sis. Nerissa (Bing) Salandron as its first Head Discerner.

Six members from Iligan took part in the 1st MLCC Postulancy Retreat and Conference at Adlawan’s Resort, Asturias, Cebu: Sis. Nerissa Salandron (Head Discerner), Bro. Paquito Salandron, Sis. Editha Carnaje, Sis. Maria Rosario Dandasan, Sis. Evelyn Ebillana and Bro. Eleazar Sade.

After years of gathering in the city’s parishes, the Community celebrated its first Sunday Mass at a centre of its own.

Twenty-nine members renewed their commitment: four perpetual, seven associates, eight postulants in outreach and ten aspirants in the intercessory ministry, with Sis. Rosalina M. Lalu as Head Servant.
